Official Statement in addressing the misleading speculation that the Place of Birth can be changed through applications of Citizenship Program

It has been reported recently by many unscrupulous agents in spreading misleading information that the Place of Birth can be changed through applications of Citizenship Program. The Vanuatu Citizenship’s Office and Commission have announced the following official statement in addressing the above issue:

1. The activity mentioned above is strictly forbidden and would subject to criminal prosecution if detected; and that

2. The Vanuatu Government vows to use all the resources tracking down the culprits behind and urges the public to report to the Citizenship Commission and Citizenship Office if being approached with such offer.
